South & Eastern DFW is under a Freeze Warning until 9:00AM on Tuesday. The warning was issued at around 5:00PM today as temperatures are expected to drop below 32 for ALL of DFW, including areas in Southeastern TX.
This will likely be the first time during this Fall that Denton County will see temperatures drop below 30, into the upper 20s.
Here are ways that you can prepare before the temperatures drop below 32 tonight:
Snow was in the forecast a few days ago, however, it looks like DFW will miss out on that opportunity. Even though we may miss out on it, temperatures are expected to stay in the 50s for highs, and upper 20s to lower 30s for lows this week.

- If you have any plants outside, make sure you either cover them up or bring them in someplace warm.
- Also, cover up outside faucets and turn off sprinkler systems to protect your pipes.
- If your pets stay outside, bring them inside or make sure they have someplace warm and dry to sleep.
